  • BEST awards announced

    Congratulations to our two winners of the BEST (Brain Expansions Scholastic Training) scholarships: Iyanna Sims  - St. Leo College of Nursing, and Shelly Nonnenburg – UCF College of Nursing.

    STTI gave them each $500 and the BEST matched it, so that each student received a $1,000 scholarship for nursing school.

  • BEST Academy day camp was a great success

    Thanks to everyone for their participation in the B.E.S.T Camp Day 2022! We could not have done this without the help and support of members and officers- Thank you! The student’s feedback was overwhelmingly positive and they provided us with pictures to share and document their time with us at the Camp. Here are just a few.
  • Volunteers needed!

    The BEST Academy camp day is coming up in just a few weeks. It will be held on the UT campus.

    This is a day of simulation and health care experiences for future health sciences students.

    Date: Thursday, June 9th

    Time: 8:00 am – 3:30 pm

     Volunteers are needed to help with the students and sims. To sign up to volunteer, use the link below or email mculp@ut.edu.

  • Grants and scholarships deadline extended

    Our DB grants and scholarships deadline has been extended to Friday, April 15th. All interested members can apply. See the earlier announcement below. Look under "Discussions" on this page to find the applications.
  • Only One Day Left!- Call for Nominations Close April 3rd

    One Day Left to Nominate! We Still Need Committee Members- Apply Today!!!

    If you have ever considered becoming more involved in your Sigma chapter or if you are ready to give back, we are looking for you!


    The Delta Beta at-Large Chapter of Sigma is currently accepting self and peer nominations for President, Vice President, Secretary, Faculty Counselor, Governance Chair, Governance Committee, Publicity Chair, Awards Chair, and Leadership Succession Committee.

    Please make you nominations by April 3rd @ 11:59 pm EST.

    A slate of candidates will be presented to the membership for a vote. Elections are planned for early April and the two-year terms for these positions will begin late May 2022.
  • Annual Delta Beta Insights and Mini-Bites

    Delta Beta chapter members are invited to a talk on wellness and lifestyle featuring social time, networking, and door prizes in addition to two great speakers. This program will be held at the Vaughn Center on the UT campus on March 29th. Social time at 6:30 pm and program from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. See the flyer further down on this page for details.
  • Grants and scholarships now available

    The Delta Beta chapter is pleased to announce that applications for our annual scholarship and research grant awards are now open.

    Criteria for scholarships includes enrollment in a master’s or doctoral program in nursing.

    Research grant award eligibility includes Registered Nurse with current license, chapter member in good standing, and readiness to implement research when funding is received.

    Note that individual awards for scholarships or research grants are generally $500 - $1000. The deadline for applications is midnight Sunday, March 20, 2022.

  • Delta Beta Key Award

    We are so happy to have received a 2021 Key Award in recognition of our chapter activities.  Thanks to the dedicated leaders of Delta Beta!
  • Invitation to participate

    Here's an invitation for recent graduates to participate in an important research project, "Keeping Nurses in Nursing: Service Learning as a Means to Enhance Grit." The principal investigator is doctoral candidate Caitlin Lofton,
